About us
AMTEX is still a very young business concept, brought into life in 2019, created with the intention and spirit to strengthen and „defend“ the TEXTILE TRADITION IN EUROPE against the imminent textile predominance from the Far East. Though still of little years, even though rich of experience in TEXTILES!
„TEXTILES“ always played a pro-minent role in our family, and so do we look back at a long tradition starting in:
1965: Mr Werner Gesellensetter starts his textile career in „SPITZEN UNION / DR DRÖGE KG“ at Schieder, being in those days the leading manufacturer of raschel lace in Germany.
1967: He becomes co-founder of the lace company „CORVETT-SPITZEN“ at Lügde (Germany).
1977: A new step in his textile career by swifting to the knitted fabrics sector starting at „FISCHER TEXTIL GMBH at Kemnath (Germany) accepting the challenge to re-orientate and start a new era in this company in different leading positions. Creating a complete new production line, structure and collection of this company.
1991: Start of the textile career of Mr Amadeo Gesellensetter by joining the Fischer Textil GmbH, as an apprentice, after the interest and enthousiasm for textiles had been aroused by the father’s work over so many years. He worked in the different departments of the company through the years.
2001: Move to Spain (Málaga) of father and son. Mr W. Gesellensetter still working for Fischer Textil GmbH until their closure in May 2019
2001: To get also knowlegde of the further processing of textile fabrics, Mr A. Gesellensetter works for the producer of lingerie/corsetry „INTERLEN“ at Alhaurín/Málaga.
2005-2019: Re-entry of Mr. A. Gesellensetter into Fischer Textil GmbH in 2005, now working from Alhaurín/Málaga, initially as sales manager, and from 2008 as managing director until the closure of the company in May 2019.
Until today, father and son are working closely and successfully together for more than 30 years.
In all those years both underwent all commercial and creative positions and departments in a textile company. Plenty of exhibitions at international fairs have been attended and carried through.
An ample circle of customers and contacts has been created over many many years.
2019: „Birth“ of AMTEX through Mr Amadeo Gesellensetter, also with the idea of making you beneficiary of this knowlege and experience.
